Want to do a cam. The car has 61k original miles. I want to go with the inertia srt max plus cam with the upgraded push rods.
My question is the car is my DD I love the sound of the cam but will I enjoy driving the car with the cam daily. Hemi lifter tick is the inevitable result of poor manufacturing and inconsistent quality control. Like McDonalds Johnson Lifters has a secret sauce in the form of proprietary operations that ensure consistent lifter performance.
One thing they cant control is the accuracy and quality of factory lifter bores but they have an answer for that too. 53022263AF is the correct part number for the camshaft but the other part numbers dont look right to me because those are the part numbers for the individual lifters and not the yoke with 4 lifters. 5038787AD is the part number for the non-MDS lifter and 5038788AD is the part number for the MDS lifter.

Ive got a 2010 ram 1500 with the 57 Hemi. I had a lifter failure that destroyed one of the lobes on my camshaft and caused a misfire on cylinder 5. I have replaced the camshaft lifters oil pump had the heads refreshed and verified that none of the push rods were bent.
