Miss my hemi but they got so damn expensive. The oil pours out when it idles and it comes out even more when I give it throttle.

Durango hemi oil filter leak. I posted where I had a disaster changing the oil on my new to me 14 Hemi Durango in another thread where the factory had the filter on so tight the filter gasket stayed on the truck which created a big leak when I put another filter on. However since discovering that and putting the filter back on with only one gasket I have still been battling. 7100 miles and i have an oil leak by the alternator.
Either timing cover or oil filter adapter seems to be the common issue. My last 2017 durango had the roller rockers replaced at 4000 miles. Miss my hemi but they got so damn expensive.
5 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango. Developed a leak in the oil filter housing which leaks down through the engine compartment and also gets on the exhaust system. This is a very common issue with the pentastar 3.

Old filter gasket isnt still on there The filter is not cross-threaded The stud that the filter screws into isnt backed out The filter itself is good second one that i have tried. It has a drip from the oil filter area and leaks enough that after driving a few miles it leaves a spot the size of a baseball. The first time the dealer said the filter was leaking and it was due for a change anyway so they just changed the oil and filter and put in the Pennzoil Platinum.
The filter they took off was a Royal Purple filter. I still think its a double gasket however on the hemi there is 2 orings in the filter turn out and three bolts. Could be a issue there.
Above the turn outs are two allen plugs that go into the oil system used for pre-lubing the engine. Lastly above those ports is. Ultimately the problem likely boils down to inadequate oil flow to the lifter rollers which results in seizure.
The lifter then contacts the camshaft lobes which results in the ticking sounds. The metal on metal contact then results in shavings in the oil. If caught soon enough the oil filter should catch most shavings and prevent further damage.
My 2007 Dodge Durango has started leaking oil approximately 2 days ago any suggestions of what the cause might be. The vehicle only has 75000 miles and has had proper oil changes and repairs as needed. However this leak has got me pondered to what the cause may be.

Most Dodges have the oil type printed on the oil cap - it will likely be 5W-20 5W-30 5W-40 10W-30 or 10W-40. I have a 2000 dodge durango that is leaking oil and I cant find where. I thought at first it was from a bad filter because I have had that problem before but I put a new one on and still leak.
