That is also when the lifters and cam starting failing left and right since it was a poor setup on this engine that was not specifically built to be a variable cam timing engine.

All the information I have found on the lifter and cam issues seem to effect mostly 2011-2012 cars. Is that correct or are there plenty of instances where the effect 2013 57s as well as 2013 SRT. Yes generally the 57 has lifter chatter more so after the first time you notice it off course but not like what youre describing.
Check your oil level first sign of it being low are chatty lifters. My 09 57 sounds like a typewriter at startup until the oil gets moving. 4 Aug 11 2019 Edited New lifter was introduced in 2016 for MDS cars because of the lifter failures. Hellcats do not have MDS so they would use the M6 non MDS style lifter. There have been a few failures of the M6 style lifter but its rare.
I am looking to trade my Dodge Ram Mega Cab Cummins in for a 2011 Durango 57 Hemi. After researching for a few hours and not finding the answers I was looking for I decided to join here. Do all 2011 57 Durangos have the Lifter issues with cylinder 5.
Was there ever an actual fix for this.
