I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger RT and I was wanting to swap my challengers 57 hemi to the 64 hemi. What exactly would I need to change because I was going to buy the small stuff such as headers mid pipes possibly a new wiring harness but if its not necessary then I wont but I just want to know what to watch out for. So how about an engine swap to 64 hemi not talking about the 64 version thats in the 2500 series.
I am talking about a true performance version 64 hemi-475hp like the ones in the Charger and Challenger. It would be a complete running swap for 13000 dollars with exchange of your 57 hemi. Would you think 1300000 is the right price.

I ordered a P5160105 mopar performance pcm that is unlocked. And was wondering if anyone had any info on where to start on tuning it before I fire it. The 57 Hemi engine has a stroke length of 9088 mm 358 inches whereas the 64 Hemi engine has that of 946mm 372 inches.
We all know that the longer the stroke the better. The longer stroke allows the 64 to deliver more power than the 57 Hemi. The valves are 208 and 160 from the factory.
They are equipped with a good valve spring. The intake utilizes a square port and the exhaust a D port. This design was used on all later Hemi 57 Eagles and 64 Apaches.

Discussion Starter 1 Feb 5 2020. Hey guys so obliviously swapping an engine isnt nearly as easy as it was in the 60s. So i was wondering for you guys who have knowledge on swapping modern engines if its possible to swap a 57 to a 64 fairly easily.
